On Thursday 1st October, P & I’s service manager, Ashley Benfield, was promoted to general manager.
Ashley, son of managing director, Paul Benfield, has been with the family business for the last 13 years. After completing his accountancy degree, Ashley started his career at P & I in sales and as the business grew, later became service manager. As service manager, Ashley was responsible for all field service engineers and his office based service coordinators.
Over the last year, P & I’s senior management team have been reviewing the company as a whole and putting in place various measures to ensure their growth strategy is met. With over 10 years within the critical power industry and knowing the business inside out, Ashley was the obvious choice for this position. As part of Ashley’s new role, he will now be responsible for the projects, sales and service departments.
Commenting on his latest promotion, Ashley said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to have been chosen for the role of general manager. I’ve seen how hard my dad has worked over the last 20 years to get P & I to the successful company it is today and I look forward to continuing to take the business forward.”
