Four P & I staff members celebrate 10 years’ service

On Friday 25th August, we celebrated four of our team who have reached 10 years’ service with P & I. Maggie Bentley, Ashley Benfield, Dave Lawty and Martin Woodham were all joined by their colleagues for the presentation at our new office in Havant.

Maggie was the first to join P & I when it was just managing director, Paul Benfield and technical director, Paul Terzza. Now P & I’s office manager, Maggie is responsible for the day to day running of the business including managing the accounts and being our ISO lead.

Having worked with both directors in a previous company, Martin made the move to P & I as the company started to pick up momentum and grow. Now one of P & I’s senior service engineers, Martin is well respected by P & I’s customers which has led to the company winning multiple high-profile tenders.

After completing his accountancy degree, Ashley joined the family business. Originally, starting his career at P & I in sales, he has worked his way through the company to service manager. Ashley now manages his own team including new addition, Nathan Jackett, who joined the team as service control apprentice.

Dave joined P & I as qualified electrical/mechanical engineer, having worked on a multitude of engines and control systems throughout his career. He is the company’s fountain of knowledge for everything technical and the go-to for all engineers and sales staff. This led to his promotion earlier on in the year to technical support specialist.

All were presented with a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates, an extra day’s holiday and a cheque for £100 to mark 10 years’ service with the company.

Managing Director of P & I, Paul Benfield, commented:

“Our staff are the most important part of the business, without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Maggie, Martin, Ashley and Dave have all made a huge contribution to our success over the last 10 years. We were delighted to celebrate this great achievement with them and the rest of the team on Friday. Myself and technical director, Paul Terzza would like to thank them all for their service and continued commitment to P & I.”

Congratulations from everyone at P & I!
