Over the last few months, P & I have welcomed two new members of staff, Chris Logan and Martin Jerome, to the team.
Chris was the first to join us on 23rd November as a service engineer. After working in the marine industry for nearly 13 years, Chris decided it was time for a change of industry. Before joining P & I, Chris was a chief engineer on a 60m super yacht, maintaining and repairing all the engineering systems, including power generation systems.
Commenting on his new role, Chris said:
“I believe that the role will use the skills and knowledge I have gained for over 13 years at sea and at the same time, open an opportunity to learn new skill in a shore based position.”
Martin joined us on 1st December as a part-time remedial service sales advisor. Like Chris, Martin also joins us from the marine industry. Having worked for over 10 years at a Volvo Penta Centre as a parts manager, Martin has a huge amount of knowledge and experience which will serve him well in a remedial role.
Commenting on joining P & I, Martin said:
“I’m looking forward to working for a true family run business that really value and appreciate all their staff. The company are looking to the future, and ever expanding. I am proud to be part of that.”
General Manager, Ashley Benfield, said:
“Given the current situation with the global pandemic, we are delighted to be able to recruit during these tough times. Both Chris and Martin join us with a huge amount of experience from the marine industry, their skills in this field transfer well into the critical power industry. I would like to welcome them to the team and wish them the best of luck with their new roles.”
From everyone here at P & I, we would like to welcome Chris and Martin to the team!
